Banj - Pašman Island
Banj is a pleasant settlement of typical olive and wine producers and fisherman. It sprang around Church of St. Kuzma in 1356. From the surrounding hills one can enjoy a beautiful view on the Pašman canal. If you drink water from the spring in Banj, you will want to return to this peaceful place. The name itself originates from the roman word Balnea which stands for spa. Discovered roman coins testify that Banji was populated in the Antic and that Romans have had their spa baths there.
Ždrelac
Ždrelac is a settlement on Pašman, one of the islands of Zadra archipelago linked with Biograd by ferry line. It was named after a narrow passage - Ždrilo, on which end it is located. This passage separates the Ždrelac island from the Pašman island. Ždrelac is situated on the intersection of tourist routs leading to surrounding islands and Kornati archipelago. It is very suitable destination for yachtsmen and water sports lovers. Nice beaches and clean sea are not only very appealing to tourists but also to people from Zadar.
Island of Vir
Vir is situated 26 km from Zadar or 15 NM (to the Vir port). The island is connected by a bridge through the Privlaka ford (Gaz) since 1976, making Vir part of the mainland. On its eastern part, in Gaz ,there is an islet called Školjić, covered in thick pine wood and with a long and sandy beach as a special feature. The islet was until recently connected with Vir by a pathway and during the low tide was its constituent part. Vir is one of 300 islands in the Zadar archipelago, in other words, one of 1186 islands and reefs in the Adriatic.
